Continuation of the Kalbarri story...
22 September 2007, Saturday
Today was the coast and inland of the Kalbarri NP. First, we headed along the coast and took in all of the lookouts over the
cliffs. Already at the first one we saw the first whales. Mother and young one going along the coast. Later we would see them
again and also another pair of whales. They are migrating down south to Antarctica. At Eagle Beach, we saw a few crabs
below the rocks which looked quite amazing and also the eagles which gave the name to the gorge and beach. After that, we
went to the two main attractions of the inland which is Z-Bend and the Nature's Window. This is a nice place, but too many
flies, just imagine being here in summer - must be really bad. The gorge at Z-Bend looked nice, but we thought that we
already had seen too many of them. The Nature's Window is nice and we took lots of photos. At night, we went to Finlay's
BBQ which is famous for its fresh fish meals. An outdoor setting which is quite interesting, maybe this can actually be
compared to Daly's Water Pub. The meal was good and the place was packed even that it was quite cold. Below are the
pictures from today.
