OUR BIG TRIP

MARY & OLI GOING AROUND AUSTRALIA
WEST COAST - Page 6

14 September 2007, Friday

Continuation of the Cape Range NP Story...
Sea-Eagle, however quite far away at Mangrove Bay
bird hide.
Mangrove roots.
Pelican - flying into the
lake, swimming around
for a while. He then flew
over the bird hide and I
just captured him in
sequence flying over us,
nice and close.
Another interesting bird -
hovering over the water
in approx 3-10 m height
and diving into the water
to catch fish. Do not know
the name, though.
A different kind of Sturt Desert Pea - More
pink in the middle instead of Black, I think
this is an endemic species to the area
here, showing that this was once cut-off
from the mainland.
Nice shells at the Turtle Centre Beach.
