TOP END - Page 22
12 August 2007, Sunday
Today we went to the other Aboriginal Art Gallery at Nourlangie Rock and a couple of Billabong Walks from Mardugal and
Anbangbang. Below are mainly pictures of Rock Art and Birds again.
Nourlangie Rock from the lookout point - we followed three talks from the Ranger - very good talks but the guy is a little bit to radical Greeny for me. On the right and below the Rock Art found around the rock.

Rock art is old isn't it? Not all, some of it was repainted in the 60's before the family clan owning the area died out. Enjoy the Lightning Man, his wife and others...

This was the only bird we saw at the Mardugal Billabong
walks and no crocs. We have a hard time to believe that
they have a lot of crocs in Kakadu...
Water lilies at Anbangbang Billabong
Wallaby or Roo? Hmmm not sure but looks like a big
Wallaby or small Roo.
On the right an Egret, but on the left? Wrong colour for
an Egret or?
Rosella coming down to drink.
Lots of ducks again on Anbangbang Billabong, but no
crocs besides the warning signs.
Magpie Geese - they are living in a threesome, one
male and two female. Hmmm interesting.
In also looks funny when they look in the mud for food.
