OUR BIG TRIP

MARY & OLI GOING AROUND AUSTRALIA
NORTHWEST COAST - Page 6

10 September 2007, Monday

Continuation of the Burrup Peninsula 4WD Story...
Another view of the valley and the ocean in the
background. The rocks are everywhere and just looks
amazing.
The drop-of where most likely the tie rod gave up, but
still stayed attached.
Made it down the drop-off - hmmm does that look like a
track - they said they have been here before, but not
many other people.
Nice view from the top of a CJ - Tim and Mike.
Callum went around it, maybe I should have done the
same.
Callum told me to miss the whole between the rocks,
well I ended up falling into it with the rear wheel and
needed some rocks being put in place to make it out.
Callum making it down - rocks everywhere.
First secluded beach area after the drop-off. Not the
final stop though.
Mike going down the last steep hill - I would not try this
one if wet... The pictures does not show the angle...
I am second and Callum after me. No problems, nice and
dry.
At the beach - in the background Dolphin Island.
They were big and quite a lot at the beach and in the
water. Nobody wanted to try and see if they sting, so we
just walked a little in the water and that was it.
After leaving the beach again. Where is that strange
noise coming from?
That bar is not supposed to be hanging like that?
The stud at the chassis bracket was already halfway
through - not sure since when that was. However, today
the second half snapped off.
Securing the bar to the car using wire, maybe the
second best invention after duct tape.
