Besides organising ourselves a little more we did a trip to Silverton today. Known for being the first mine in the area and
becoming Ghost-town later on. Mad Max also plays a role and a vehicle from the movie is in front of the Silverton Hotel. Few
pictures below. Art has become a big thing in Broken Hill and surroundings as you can see below...
18 June 2007, Monday
Went to the Auto Electrician and got story number 318 what is wrong with my alternator or regulator. This time the loose
contact at the regulator was the reason. We are planning a little gravel road trip before we leave Broken Hill to make sure that
we do not get surprises out in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise we did not much, bought a scanner to make sure we can
throw away all of the paper information we took with us. Just after sunset the moon and the bright stars looked great, see
below...

Good news from USA4x4, my new joints for the upper control arm are on the way to Broken Hill - thanks guys, you really rock
!!! Today we went to the Living Desert and Sculptures just 10 km's out of Broken Hill. The weather is freezing, today we heard
that yesterday night was the coldest in the last four years. Great, just the right thing for us to start the trip. While walking
today we almost froze to the stones, but it is getting better and maybe we do get used to it. Below are a few pictures from the
Living Desert Circular Walk and the Sculptures.
