Continuation of the Hamlin Pool story...
The lookout onto Shell Beach.
We found this lagoon, beach and Stromatolites in just
taking one of the side tracks towards Hamlin Bay.
Not sure if those shells are black (on the right) because of the Stromatolites or any other chemical influence. The black
stuff on the left picture is all spongy Stromatolites on this salt pan behind the shell beach - very muddy in places.
Another lookout on the way back to Denham and again lots of shells at the beach. Pictures below from the same place.
Little turtles which are given to Ocean Park when found
injured and they are released back into the wild after a
few months.
Two Stonefish, they were just caught in the creek to
Little Lagoon outside of Denham - maybe not a good
place to do a walk in the nice water.
Lemon shark
Shovel ray - not shark?
Stingray
Big lagoon with lots of snapper and other big fish, they
come out of the water for food.
Big Tiger Shark - but was not hungry enough to take the
food from the tour guy.
Other shark - also quite large, you do not want to fall
into this lagoon.
