OUR BIG TRIP

MARY & OLI GOING AROUND AUSTRALIA
WEST COAST - Page 17

18 September 2007, Tuesday

Continuation of the Steep Point story...
As before, just a size comparison with the car and waves - hard to judge the height of the cliffs, but in some places
they are up to 200 m high. On the right, this was the closest I got to the blowhole without being swallowed by it.
The waves are pretty high at the beach and therefore the beach is full of stuff washed up onto it.
This seasnake actually moved when we approached it,
so not quite dead yet,
This puffer fish was nice and already very hard and old
- nice beak or teeth, however you want to call it.
We are back on the Useless Loop road and can air up a
little from sand to corrugations... driving back in the
dark, but we only saw a couple of roos at the beginning.
Panoramic pictures from today. First one from Shell Beach and others from Step Point and surroundings.
