17 October 2007, Wednesday

For some reason, yesterday and today we just slept and slept until we finally got up and that did not leave a lot of the day for
our trips - well we deserve to sleep too. Today the weather outlook was not very good, so we decided first to drive to Two
Peoples Bay and if time allows, go back through Albany to Shelley Beach and West Cape Howe. Two People Bay is the place
where they rediscovered the Noisy Scrub Bird when they thought it was already extinct. The beaches are nice, but the
weather got worse and we drove back to Albany to just beat the rain by a few minutes. The rest of the day was spend
updating the webpage -that is why you can read things again (it is a lot of work actually). It kept raining and we stayed back
for the rest of the day and prepared ourselves for tomorrow's drive to Esperance. Below are the pictures from today.
At the end of the day, we went to the Natural Bridge and The Gap - unfortunately or fortunately the weather was
too good and the waves did not make for a spectacular sight.
Why did I put this picture? Well in the morning I realised that this
part of the nail was sticking out of one trailer tyre, so I prepared
myself for a tyre fix after the trip today. After more than 22,000 km's a
nail would beat the first Cooper tyre....

Well, we came back from the trip and I pulled the nail out of the tyre
and realised that it actually had not penetrated the steel underneath
the rubber - Cooper's !!!! Knock on wood - hopefully now tyres are
shredded on our trip.

Panoramics below from today, Lookout from Marine Drive, Whale
World, Salmon Holes and Misery Beach.
Two Peoples Bay and a river floating into the bay - which creates nice
colours.
