OUR BIG TRIP

MARY & OLI GOING AROUND AUSTRALIA
SOUTHWEST WA - Page 14

11 October 2007, Thursday

Today we drove to Walpole past Pemberton to stay for one night and do the Tree Top Walk and meet Mike and Abbey again.
We set-up camp close to Walpole in the Coalmine Beach Caravan Park and off we went to the Tree Top Walk and Valley of
the Giants. The Tree Top Walk is about 40 m above ground at the highest point and the whole structure just swings around -
quite interesting when you stand on it. That made me think if I am able to climb the trees in Pemberton - hmmmm we will see
in the next few days. After the Tree Top Walk we went around the Valley of the Giants and had a look at the Large Tingle Tree
on the way back to Camp. When we arrived back at the camp the bus from Mike and Abbey was parked next to us and Tim
said hello to us. The Jeep came back a few minutes later and we had a nice campfire and Curry made by Mike and Abbey.
This was a good night to farewell them on there way back to Dampier - let's see when we see them next - either in Spain or in
Tassie when they moved. Very nice people - we call friends !!! Today, we took lots of pictures from the trees - obviously,
therefore lots of panoramic shots, because they are huge !!!
Before we left Margaret River today we had a little
visitor on the trailer which we had to relocate.
The next pictures are from the Tree Top Walk and the
Ancient Empire Walk - nice impressions.
Can you see the face????
