OUR BIG TRIP

MARY & OLI GOING AROUND AUSTRALIA
SOUTHWEST WA - Page 12

10 October 2007, Wednesday

Continuation of the Jewel Cave, Lighthouse and Hamelin Bay story...
The beach next to the water wheel - full of shells. The next photo was obviously taken by Mary to show that I am the main shell collector - well
that is arguable, but probably true at this stage of the trip - looking for the small beautiful shells. On the right some nice rock formations.
Leeuwin Lighthouse impressions - the tallest Lighthouse on the Australian Mainland - only one higher on King Island in Tasmania. This is
what a Lighthouse is all about - beauty and white - very nice place.
Leeuwin Lighthouse impressions - this is also the place were the Southern and Indian Ocean come together.
Top Left - the wind today was very light for the Cape - it still blew you away.

Top Middle - The original lenses are still in place, but the light is now electric.

Top Right - View towards the mainland from the top.

Left - The Cape Leeuwin and both Oceans.

Below - two happy people on the top of the Lighthouse.
Above and on the left - Hamelin Bay
Wildflowers and Beach - nice place for
fishing and relaxation. This is only a
caravan park and Beach - that is Hamelin
Bay.
