Continuation of the Shell House, Cable Beach Sunset and Crazy Crab Races...
3 September 2007, Monday
Well, what did we do today? Waiting for the sunset, he he he. Nothing besides that. So at the end of the day we drove onto
Cable Beach with the car and set-up again for the sunset. We bought a new camera today - which is actually waterproofed
and for the upcoming snorkeling season along the WA coast. Below are again pictures from the sunset including camels.
Which brings me to another story about Broome. North of the rocks is the part of Cable Beach which is used for the Sunset
Camel Rides - for which Cable Beach is famous. This is not a very enjoyable ride because the group of camels has to try
getting through lots of cars parked for the sunset and this is also the dog and nude beach. All at once does not make it very
good for any of those activities. Sometimes you really would like to close your eyes when driving along, but obviously need
them open to not hit another car and enjoy the oldies at the nude beach - OOPS. Promise, I did not take any of those pictures.
By the way, the sunset was not good again due to the amount of smoke present from the daily fires.

Our set-up again - music on and off we go and enjoy the sunset and camels riding by.
|
Like I said we have another camera now, which we call Mary's, so another size of pictures will appear from now on.
|
The camels are marching out for the first part of a trio when the sun is still up and shining. Three groups all together.
Below our trial with the new camera.

The seagulls can be quite annoying, however make for a nice shot.
