Continuation of the Bird Observatory, Dinosaur Prints and Moon Eclipse...
This was the spot for the second and third dinosaur print - can you see it?
You always look for that 3-toe bird-like print of some size.
Close-up of number 3 - Looks like an over sized bird
print - well they have been examined and agreed to
their authenticity.
Nice early sunset colours, but too many people now. At the beginning it was
just us and another couple out for a search - now there are hundreds of people.
As you can see those prints can only be seen at very
low tides - people standing around the spot of one of
the prints.
See the people in the background - hmmm needed to
take this picture anyway.
Sorry just taking some more pictures of the sunset, just
looks so nice with the colour due to the smoke.
No people in the background - did it - just a little dark
on us.
After that we left and drove across to
Town Beach for the eclipse - when we
drove off we saw that red ball of sun
going down and it looked fantastic.
Not knowing what would we see on
the other side we drove off - shouldn't
have done that...
This was the view at Town Beach of the eclipse -
unfortunately this was the position when the moon
could be seen - it did look red, but nothing really to
exciting. The other pictures were taken at the campsite
throughout the eclipse - looked quite interesting when
it was really dark. Timing starts right top and goes
clockwise.
