OUR BIG TRIP

MARY & OLI GOING AROUND AUSTRALIA
EYRE PENINSULA - Page 3

25 October 2007, Thursday

After visiting the visitor centre in Port Lincoln it was clear that we would not be able to view everything in the region, so we
decided against Coffin Bay and did Whalers Bay today and Port Lincoln NP tomorrow. Whalers Bay is private property, so
you have to pay $25 for the entrance and a key deposit. Quite expensive, however the area is very nice as you will see in the
pictures. Unfortunately, the weather was not very good to allow for fantastic pictures. The waves around the oldest rock in
SA were quite amazing, no wonder they had already 4 death at this point - the waves work like a magnet and you just want to
go closer to see it better. Below are the pictures from today.
Entrance to Whalers Bay - Let's see if the money was
spent wisely.
The swimming hole can only be reached via a very old ladder and Mary (on top of
the cliff) is not very happy about me going to the swimming hole just for the photo.
Pictures of the amazing coastline around Whalers Bay.
A very large ant and we also saw a few roos
- this one trying to get away from us...
One the left the oldest rock of SA and the
waves surrounding it.
And those waves are
not really big.
