OUR BIG TRIP

MARY & OLI GOING AROUND AUSTRALIA
ALICE SPRINGS - KATHERINE - Page 8

26 July 2007, Thursday

Today we did the walk up to the Upper Pool, an easy 2.6 km walk and the plan was to enjoy the upper falls as I did 16.5 years
ago in a little more solitude compared to the plunge pool below. Well that was really not the case - it was full of people as the
plunge pool was - well we got some pics without people, but that was the hard part of the day. The selfmade burgers at night
were fantastic and after that we went to a Ranger talk in the picnic area - which was quite ok. Pictures with stories to it.
Crossing the Edith River below the walk before heading
into the walk up the escarpment. We would come back
here to spend a couple of hours watching the wildlife
after the walk.
The Upper Falls and on the top the
pool.
Photoshop
makes it
possible that
we all can be
at the same
spot in the
same photo -
this is our first
try to
photoshop a
picture - all
others are real.
Cold when you get in, however after  a while just
beautiful.
Just great to get under the waterfall and have the warmer water hit you - like a massage and spa together, just the other
people are annoying.
O.k. I had enough drag me out - it is slippery and yes one picture with nobody on it !!!! Hip Hip Hurraaaaaa !!! (Almost one
guy at the bottom right)
A lonely lizard on the way back from the Pool and one last look again trying to avoid the people inside the pool below.
